How to play
- Every picture has a few kittens hiding in it: on shelves, in baskets, behind cushions, peeking out of boxes.
- Tap a cat when you see it. A pink ring with a paw print means you got it.
- Tapping somewhere without a cat adds 5 seconds to your time, so look before you tap.
- On a phone, pinch or press + to zoom in and drag the picture around. On a computer, the + button, a trackpad pinch or Ctrl + scroll zooms.
- Find them all to finish. You get up to three stars, and you can see how your time compares with everyone who played the same picture.

How the cats get hidden
An AI image model draws each scene first, with no cats in it. Then it hides the kittens, and a script compares the two pictures pixel by pixel, so we know exactly where every cat is. That's why a tap on a cat always counts. A second AI then checks every hiding spot: that it really is one cat (not two, not a smudge) and that you can actually see it. It also checks that the scene has no cat toys or cat pictures that you could mistake for a real one. Difficulty is a ranking: the hard group has the smallest, best-hidden cats and the most of them.
Tips for spotting cats
- Look for ears and tails first. On the hard pictures that's often all you see.
- Check inside things: baskets, boxes, pots, laundry piles, the top of shelves.
- Go round the edges of the picture. Cats love corners.
- In the yarn and plush shops, the cats sit among things that look a lot like them. Zoom in.
FAQ
- Is Find the Cat free?
- Yes. All 12 pictures are free to play in your browser, with no download and no account. Ads show around the page, never on top of the game.
- How many cats are in each picture?
- Between 6 and 10. The number is shown under the picture, and the dots at the top fill in as you find them, so you always know how many are left.
- Can I play on my phone?
- Yes. Pinch the picture (or press +) to zoom in, drag to look around, and tap a cat when you see it. Turning the phone sideways also makes the picture bigger.
- What if I can't find the last cat?
- Press Hint. A ring shows the area where one of the cats you haven't found is hiding. You get three hints per picture; using one costs you the third star.
